#KNEONKIDS is our spotlight on creative young guns, the girls and boys next door with that crazy cool hobby, the ones in your life who that special ZING that make them oh so Facebook-stalkable. They have an array of interests and talents, dress anything but ordinary, and aren't afraid to dream big.
First on our list is Melisa Minca, 23 year-young Slovak blogger, stylist, and photographer. On top of all that, she's studying Sustainable Development at the University of Edinburgh. She's collaborated with H&M and upcoming brands like Caseable, and has been featured on C-heads, Girls on Film and more. KNEON's Editor in chief Victoria Jin photographed and interviewed the Bratislavan beauty wearing the latest SS14 Lazy Oaf collection.

Where do you call home?
Continental Europe.
In your opinion, what do you think a blog has to have these days to really stand out?
Original content. Is there any other possible answer? I feel there is not. Not really.
You're studying Sustainable Development at the University of Edinburgh. Tell us any dualities between your academic life and creative one - do they ever clash or meet?
Particular aspects used to clash. But now I'm finding out they can meet and that it isn't that hard if I really try. I think, to stay trendy, original and lead a successful fashion blog can be done in a sustainable way too. Nowadays I've been aiming for a timeless wardrobe with durable pieces and spending my money on non-material things rather than just more clothes and accessories. However, where my academic and creative life still clash the most is in my time schedule. My studies require a lot of sitting on my ass and reading. Whereas my creative life requires getting out there and soaking up the inspiration wherever I go.
What kinds of emails excite you the most?
The ones from African princesses who are desperately looking for someone whom they could give their inheritance. I always get so excited and then so disappointed when I realize it's a scam.
If you had to wear one brand for the rest of your life, which would it be?
My own. But that hasn't happened yet. So probably American Apparel - timeless, sexy, feminine, chic, young, basic, durable...
Dream pet?
A cat which would behave like a dog.
When you're super hungry, what kind of food do you think of first?
I always think of Coca Cola when I'm hungry.
What's the best thing about being young?
Getting away with mischief is easier (more excusable), I guess. Because as we get older we hear more of this: you should have known better.
If your friends were asked to describe you, what three words would they probably use?
Four you said? OK! Impetuous, intelligent, indecent, innovative
If you could fly anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would you go?
My favourite city is Berlin, but I can afford to fly there myself. So since you're offering... TOKYO!
