Another KNEON exclusive - Manchester, UK based photographer Rosie Woods.

Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you when writing this and where do you live?
Being originally from Yorkshire, I moved to Manchester three years ago to study photography at the Manchester School of Art. I currently live in a cute little house with three of my great friends and our lovely cat, Anne Hathaway. I’m a big fan of female fronted bands, Woody Allen Films and Paolo Roversi’s beautiful photographic work. I'm in my third and final year of my degree and the prospect of finishing and entering the real world in a few months is the most terrifying/exciting thing.

How and when did you get into photography?
I began photography around 6 years ago when I left school and was completely confused about what I wanted to do with my future and couldn't relate to any subjects I was studying. I chose photography as a subject to study by complete chance, I can't even remember consciously considering it. As soon as it became something I was aware of though, I felt like I actually had a direction which I wanted to take. So perhaps it was just an extremely happy accident...

What is your big dream for the future?
Paris is undoubtedly my favourite city ever, I'm beginning to lose count of how many times I've visited and I've worryingly been more than I have to my own country's capital city. So I guess my big dream would be to be in the position were I am creating work I like for great magazines/companies/labels whilst being able to live comfortably in a lovely little apartment in Paris.

What was something that recently inspired you?
I went to see Her at the cinema the other night and the cinematography and aesthetics were so dreamy. I find it quite rare that I go see a film at the cinema and walk out feeling inspired by the visuals so that was really refreshing. I also saw Lykke Li last night at a music festival and she is literally the sassiest and most talented live artist I've seen in quite a while so that was really inspiring too.
